Their constituency associations need to have a word. Private dissent is fine, public dissent like this ensures defeat.
My, oh My!!!!!
And here's me thinking the Nazi party was dead.
Send in the Brown Shirts!!!!!!!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30194186.post-33198514532854575712007-07-22T20:51:00.000+01:002007-07-22T20:51:00.000+01:00...the only outcome of division is disaster...That......the only outcome of division is disaster...

That is true but there is the otehr side of the coin, Benedict. They're not going to win with him either.

At least to cut the losses now will give someone a chance to get up to speed.

I agree the publicizing of the letters was stupid but the principle of acting now was not.James Highamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14525082702330365464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30194186.post-72569694122340086702007-07-22T20:09:00.000+01:002007-07-22T20:09:00.000+01:00I agree with your comments Benedict but I also thi...I agree with your comments Benedict but I also think that unlike previous murmurings this has backfired and will be interested to see what happens within the Parliamentary over the next few weeks.

Mark, there is no honour in this type of behaviour, hiding behind an anonymous cloak while leaking their actions I think has said more about them than their leader.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30194186.post-90617102630524679492007-07-22T19:47:00.000+01:002007-07-22T19:47:00.000+01:00I still don't like Cameron but he's all we've got,...I still don't like Cameron but he's all we've got,if we don't get together and stop the arguing, then forget the next GE and the one after that, the time to argue is over, forget the msm they are not on our side ,any arguments should be kept inside and not mud slinging in the papers or on blogs,if we lose these GE's then we can welcome ourselves to a stalinist state of Europe a third world England.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30194186.post-34212429905364330672007-07-22T15:40:00.000+01:002007-07-22T15:40:00.000+01:00I think your argument is a little simplistic , Ben...I think your argument is a little simplistic , Benendict . Those who did exactly the same sort of thing to IDS are not regarded as traitors widely in the Conservative Party ( except perhaps to IDS himself and his close friends/supporters ) and many of them are now in high positions within the party .
The letter writers clearly strongly feel that to be successful the Conservatives need to be rid of a leader who to them and others looks to be a pure PR man with no sound philosophy .
It is not for me to say whether they are right or wrong but they surely have the right to say that their party is not going in the right direction and it is the leader who is at fault just as others did with IDS . If the putsch against IDS had failed would you have been demanding the expulsion from the party of those who had called for it or been amongst those expelled .Mark Seniorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14135355793483364640noreply@blogger.com
