D Day, Operation Overlord beach landings begin

156 thousand allied troops land on Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword beaches in Normandy.

A long bloody day is ahead of them. By the end of the day 10,000 will be killed or wounded.

We will remember them.
