How nice. The BBC has this.
They should of course not have taken them, and some thought should have been given to intercepting ships further out to sea where they would not fall prey so easily to this sort of piracy, as well as the realisation that Iran does not have a government like ours, different parts of it seem to bat for different sides and are frequently locked in one sort of a power struggle or another.
Well, I won't comment on it too much, but there are two articles in the New York Post which do not make comfortable reading.
The first here, laments our lack of naval power, how weak we appear militarily, and how nuts it is that we appear to be cutting our navy.
Then there is this article which questions our courage and indeed the courage of the 15 captured hostages. To some extent the columnist has a point, but it is exceedingly uncomfortable reading.

Have Churchill (John or Winston, take your pick) and Wellington rising from their graves to storm Parliment?
The Real Sporer, Well they haven't yet, but I am not ruling it out.
I can't believe it looks like we may be cutting back on carriers as well!
Bonkers.
I was going to go into a rant ,but truth does hurt ,sad time, sad country.
Anonymous, Yes I know what you mean. I'd like to give the second columnist a "bit of a talking to" but my heart would not be in it.
Islam is such a macho culture and has little respect for...well people like Blair and hostages willing to play the clown for the camera.I never doubted we'd get them back, well fed, pumped full of the Qu'ran and freshly laundered.
Iran was just having a little fun with the weedy guy.
Couldn't the woman have still smiled, eaten her curry and apologised but refused to wear the hijab...at least that?
Lets not play with the big boys again.
