Quote of the day!

Apparently a Polish gentlemen by the name of Jan Grzebski has been in a coma for the last 19 years, following an accident at work.

When he has his accident there was still a communist government and there was food rationing.

So what has he got to say?
"What amazes me today is all these people who walk around with their mobile phones and never stop moaning,"
Priceless!

You can read the whole BBC article here.

We have rationing in the West too, only here, things are rationed on the basis of having the cash to pay for them.

When meat is subsidized by the government so that the price you pay is between one tenth and one twentieth of what the “market price” would be, then the lines and shortages don’t carry the same connotation, do they ?

But of course, right-wing media never bother to provide this background.

Jay, there is more meat available now to the average Polish citizen than there was under communism.

What is more there is considerably less spent on "internal security".
