Mid Sussex District Council predictions

As the final day of campaigning draws to a close, and election day beckons, I thought I would make some predictions about how it will go.

Currently there are 25 Conservative councilors out of 54, with 24 Liberal Democrats, 2 Labour and 3 independent.

We expect to make 7 gains, leaving us with 32 out of 54 councilors, with an outside possibility of another 3.

It does not look like it is going to be a good day for the Liberal Democrats in Mid Sussex.

I only hope you are right Benedict, you've worked your butt off trying to win, and you deserve to, IMHO

I know we are political enemies, but as you live far away I think I can allow myself to wish you good Luck ;-)

I just got one of those Libdem faux local newsletters, and the headline on the front page?
I kid you not, it was "Its ? ? or a Tory!"
God it is so 90's.
A headline like that might have resonated back then, but after 10 years of Blair and Brown and 8 years of a Lab/libdem pact it just might backfire!

ChrisD, was this in Scotland?

Strange indeed. I expect that even where they are in power they would campaign against their own polices if there was a vote in it!
